Dafferns HR

A strategic alliance between Dafferns and
The HR Dept

Dealing with HR issues, without professional support is time-consuming and challenging for business owners

The Dafferns HR Package

Powered by The HR Dept (South Warwickshire), Dafferns HR offers a comprehensive range of Human Resource services for a competitive monthly fee, removing the stress of handling HR issues and ensuring compliance with ever-changing employment law. Contracts are for 12 months, so there are no lengthy tie-ins.

The service spans three key areas – Compliance, Advice and Guidance and Employment Protection:

Compliance – Key Benefits

  • We keep you ‘up to date’ and legally compliant with current employment law, freeing up your time to focus on your business

Compliance – Key Features

  • Review of existing contract of employment template and/or the creation of bespoke template to suit the needs of your business
  • Bespoke company handbook that reflects your ‘culture and values’
  • Preparation of legally compliant letters to support the advice we give
  • To ensure compliance with GDPR regulations, we provide an up-to-date Data Protection policy, Data Breach policy, Subject Access Request policy, and Privacy statement
  • Automatic updates to documentation as legislation changes and reviewed annually as standard

Advice and Guidance – Key Benefits

  • A service that feels like you have your own in-house HR specialist but at the fraction of the cost of employing directly. We get to know and understand your business, giving you the confidence to make informed decisions to support your plans

Advice and Guidance – Key Features

  • Unlimited access to your own dedicated HR consultant, supported by a wider specialist team
  • Commercial, pragmatic and creative advice and solutions to people problems
  • People management issues – we will talk through the situation with you and advise you, step by step on the process to follow and prepare all associated correspondence on your behalf

Employment Protection – Key Benefits

  • Our retained service provides full tribunal insurance to protect you from the inconvenience of potentially costly, complex, and time-consuming claims

 Employment Protection – Key Features

  • Market leading Tribunal Indemnity Insurance providing up to £250,000 of cover per claim, to include representation at tribunal, and/or ACAS conciliation
  • If a claim proceeds to tribunal, we will defend the claim, and all representation costs will be covered by your insurance policy. If an award of compensation is made against you in a tribunal, this will be covered by your policy (Full details available on request, terms may be subject to risk profile)
  • There are no ‘prospects of success’ clauses, which allows us to be less risk adverse and commercial. As long as you seek and follow our advice at the start of an issue, you are protected
  • Breathe HR, a web-based HR and personnel management system to streamline your HR administration, fully compliant with ISO 12700 standards
  • A site visit for a face-to-face annual review of HR ‘Policies and Procedures’ to ensure they are fit for purpose

For an additional fee, you can also request The HR Dept to attend on-site or virtually when you need an expert by your side. We can support you with dealing with a range of HR issues:

  • Disciplinary and grievance meetings
  • Investigation and appeal hearings
  • Restructures and redundancy processes
  • Recruitment interviews, Learning & Development needs and employee surveys
  • Performance management and appraisals
