The benefits of Xero analytics

Xero Analytics is included free of charge in the Xero starter and standard subscriptions. 

By clicking on the Business tab, you will see the ‘Short term cash flow’ feature as well as the ‘Business snapshot’ tool. These tools will help you provide further insights into your business in order to manage your cashflow and measure your companies’ financial performance.

Short term cash flow

This feature provides a projection of your cashflow for either the next 7 days or 30 days. It shows the impact of the upcoming bills that need to be paid and highlights which bills and invoices are overdue. 

Please note that in order to utilise this function most effectively, your bank reconciliation must be up to date. 

Business snapshot 

This feature highlights KPI’s (key performance indicators) to help you review the overall performance of your business. 

It allows you to view profitability, income and expenditure over the selected period of time for example, year to date. 

It also highlights the largest operating expenses, gross profit margin and the average number of debtor and creditor days. 

Analytics Plus

Analytics Plus is an upgrade to the standard feature which allows more options for customisation of the above tools, for example, on the cashflow, you can select a projection of 60 days or 90 days. 

It is available for free for all subscriptions up to 31 January 2022 and we would advise you to make use of this feature or at least try it out.
