The Dafferns’ South West office has moved to the prestigious Plymouth Science Park. The firm sees the new base as a key step to developing its growth in the area.
“We were really impressed with the facilities at the Science Park as one of the South West’s most desirable working environments”, says Dafferns partner Richard Miller. “In addition, the Park provides a dynamic cluster of growing businesses with which we can share knowledge and expertise”.
Dafferns is a “full service” firm of chartered accountants, dealing with all aspects of accountancy, taxation and business advisory services to businesses and individuals. Whilst the roots of the firm date back to 1896, Dafferns has a reputation for innovation, with a particular focus on helping clients “plan for what comes next”.
Apart from the services normally associated with accountants (accounts, audit and tax), the firm has diversified its offering in line with clients’ needs. Practical assistance includes advice and support in cloud-based accounting and reporting systems, wealth management through its financial services arm and insurance and risk management. An emphasis on helping clients to fix and reach their strategic objectives is key.
“Our goal is to challenge ambitious SMEs and to help them achieve their growth potential”, says Dafferns managing partner Martin Gibbs, “We see our partnership with Plymouth Science Park as an important part of this growth agenda.”
