Standing the test of time in Rome with AGN International

The Dafferns team has returned from the AGN International EMEA regional meeting in Rome in the first week of October 2024.

Dafferns have been high profile AGN members since 2015, a top 10 ranked worldwide association of separate independent accounting, audit, tax and advisory firms, with approaching 200 members in around 100 different countries.

The 2024 EMEA regional conference in Rome officially began with a welcome dinner on the Thursday evening, bringing together over 130 professionals from across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. It was great to reconnect with colleagues and build new connections with a diverse mix of team members from numerous member firms.

Friday and Saturday were packed with technical sessions, including a team-building treasure hunt around the Eternal City, and a stunning gala dinner under the Roman sky. The conference covered a range of forward-looking topics such as ESG, building the firm of the future, capital raising options such as private equity, personal resilience, the rise of artificial intelligence and factors to consider when exploring Microsoft CoPilot and much more – all under the inspiring theme of “Standing the test of time.”

In addition to the conference, Martin Gibbs and Sophie Masmoudi attended board and committee meetings, taking full advantage of the opportunity to connect in person, while David Halkett and Emily Ball-Goldfinch completed their year long AGN Next Leaders Programme.
