Dafferns’ staff, friends and family members met on the evening Friday 25th September 2015 to take part in a fun-packed, James Bond-themed casino night with the purpose of raising money for Dafferns’ chosen charity of the year – Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.
The glamorous evening of high stakes was held at Sports ConneXion in Ryton on Dunsmore and raised an impressive £1,400 for the local charity. Thanks go to the sports centre for the use of their very smart function room and to Sarah’s Cakes of Southam, who provided the delicious sweet treats for the buffet.
Around 70 staff and friends competed at the casino tables (supplied by YMCA Hire) throughout the evening for the very James-Bond-like prize of a flying lesson, kindly donated by flight training experts Aeros Ltd.
In addition, guests took part in a spy-themed secret mission to find a missing secret agent, hiding at a hidden location in Warwickshire. Thanks go to Warwick Castle for sponsoring the secret mission game and for very generously providing 2 tickets to visit the castle…coincidentally the hiding place of the missing secret agent!
Riotous fun was also had in the fancy dress photo booth, provided by local company Warwickshire Event Supplies.
We would like to thank everyone who attended, helped on the evening or who donated a prize. Your support is very much appreciated in raising money for this worthwhile local cause.
