Experience

As Partner, Head of Private Client Tax at Dafferns, I am responsible for all aspects of Private Client Tax relationships. I’m ACCA and CTA qualified, with over 25 years-experience across the full range of tax advisory work.

I pride myself on seeing all clients as individuals, having a ‘root and branch’ understanding of their current position and a clear appreciation of aspirations ahead of the private client journey. I have a particular intertest in owner managed businesses where our advisory services offer clear guidance on Company structure.

Along with dealing with ongoing tax effectiveness and compliance, my specialisms include:

Having qualified Sheffield Hallam University, I went on to work for Top 10 Accountancy practice in Manchester before jetting off to spend 11 years honing skills at Sydney based full-service Accountancy Firm – BDJ Partners.

Since returning to Warwickshire in 2014, I have held roles as Small Business Manager, Client Services Manager ahead of joining Dafferns in 2018 as Senior Tax Manager, subsequently Tax Director and now as Private Client Tax Partner.

Hobbies and interests

Needless to say I enjoy travelling, exploring new countries and cultures otherwise I can be found on a bracing Warwickshire walk!
