Experience

I trained and qualified in 2016 as a Certified Chartered Accountant with a firm in Leicestershire, having previously studied my AAT in a small practice in Hinckley. Having worked for over 16 years in practice, I have gained a range of experience including nearly 10 years auditing corporate and not-for-profit entities.

I moved from Audit to Business Services in 2022, due to a fundamental change in my life. Having a better work-life balance was important and I found Business Services allowed me to do this, whilst still working closely with audit and corporation tax colleagues. Business Services allows me to have a more varied role, which includes statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT, bookkeeping and management accounts.

Hobbies and interests

Most of my spare time is taken up by my daughter, when I do have spare time, you can usually find me reading. I often have a physical book, an e-book and an audiobook on the go.

As a family, we enjoy visiting extended family, day trips and holidaying around the UK.
