Martin is Dafferns managing partner, driving the strategic development and growth of the firm and helping clients maximise value. A trusted adviser to ambitious, creative UK and International SMEs, helping clients shape what they can control and planning for what they can’t.
Audit Accounts and Assurance
My clients range from £40m plus turnover groups to small self-employed contractors and include UK subsidiaries of overseas groups, manufacturing, service, construction, consulting and software companies.
Small Business
I lead the Dafferns Small Business Services team – leveraging technology and the cloud, with Xero and Sage accounts, to streamline the year end accounts and tax process.
Corporate Finance
I also have extensive corporate finance experience, including buying, selling and restructuring businesses, due diligence reviews, advising MBO teams and exit route planning.
Business Strategy and Planning
As an accredited Mindshop Expert facilitator, I have a keen focus on providing strategic business advice.
Hobbies and interests
I am a keen cyclist, both on road and off, clocking up about 2,500 km per year – all on Strava. Husband to one, father to two, grandfather to two I spend as much free time as possible in the Derbyshire Peak District, walking and riding bikes, drinking good coffee and enjoying technology and photography.
